Who is this for?

• Start-ups and entrepreneurs with a new product who first want to see and feel whether it works.
• Inventors and makers with an idea on paper but no 3D software.
• Businesses that want to test a holder, enclosure, cap or part before ordering a series.

You do not have to be a business or have a 3D file. A sketch, a photo, a few measurements or an existing object that needs to be slightly different is enough to get started.

How it works

1. You tell us what you want to make. Describe your idea in the request form and add a sketch, photo or measurements. WhatsApp works too.
2. You first receive a quote for the design and the print, within 3 to 5 working days. You are not committed to anything until you approve.
3. We draw the 3D model and show you what it will look like before we print.
4. We print your prototype and you test it: in your hand, on your product or with your client.
5. Not quite right yet? Then we adjust the model and print the next version. A prototype is rarely finished in one go, and it does not have to be.
6. Once it is right, we turn it into a small series, without tooling costs and with a volume discount.

What does having a prototype made cost?

A prototype does not have to cost a fortune. You pay for the design and the print separately, and you see both in the quote up front.

• Simple design: a fixed amount from € 29.00 including VAT, with one round of changes included.
• Larger design work: € 49.00 per hour, with an estimate of the hours in the quote up front.
• The print: € 0.19 per gram of PETG, with a minimum of € 6.00 per order, with no set-up costs.
• A next version: you only pay for the change and the new print.
• The same again later: you pay design costs once. If you order it again, you only pay for the print, with 10 percent off from 5 pieces and 15 percent from 10 pieces.

What we do and do not do

We draw simple to medium-sized designs: a holder, enclosure, cap, clamp, packaging part or a part that has to fit onto something existing. Up to 350 x 320 x 325 mm we print it in one piece, larger in sections. We do not do a complete product design with strength calculations, electronics or certification, and we print in PETG only. Frequently asked questions about having a prototype made

Do I need a 3D file?

No. A sketch, photo or description with a few measurements is enough. We draw the model.

How quickly will I have my prototype?

You receive the quote within 3 to 5 working days. It also says when your prototype will be ready, because that depends on how much has to be drawn.

Can I order in my company name?

Yes. Choose the business option in the request form; the quote is then in your company name, and after payment you get the invoice with the VAT shown separately.

Who do my files belong to?

Your files remain yours. We only use them to make your order.
