How do you calculate the price of a 3D print?
Volume × weight per cm³ × price per gram. That is how you calculate the cost of 3D printing without a file: enter the volume of your model in cm³, or the weight in grams if you already know it.

What does 3D printing cost per cm³ and per gram?
The price for 3D printing here depends on just one thing: the weight. Because PETG has a fixed density, that also fixes the price of 3D printing per cm³. Exactly how much depends only on your infill: the fuller your model, the heavier and therefore the more expensive.
What does a 3D print cost per gram?
One rate for every print: € 0,19 per gram of PETG, with a minimum of € 8,00 per order. Print time is built into that price per gram, so we do not charge separately per hour. That means you can check the price yourself.
What does 3D printing cost per cm³?
At 20% infill 1 cm³ weighs about 0,56 grams, so 1 cm³ costs roughly € 0,11. Printed solid at 100% infill, 1 cm³ weighs 1,27 grams and costs about € 0,24.
A model of 120 cm³ at 20% infill weighs about 67,1 grams. 67,1 grams × € 0,19 per gram comes to about € 12,74, including VAT and excluding shipping.
What do the costs of 3D printing consist of?
One simple model, the same for every print: weight × price per gram, plus any surcharges or discounts. Exactly what the calculators above work out.
Why do we charge per gram?
The weight of a print determines almost one-to-one how much material and print time are needed. That is why we charge per gram: a fair measure you can check yourself. The calculator computes the exact volume of your STL file and estimates the weight based on the fixed outer shell plus the chosen infill, the same formula we use internally.

What does a 3D print cost roughly?
Do you not have an STL (yet) and do you not know the volume either, then these ranges give a good picture. The exact price always follows in your quote. Not sure yet how to get your model to us? Small (keychain, clip, hook)
Cable clips, keychains, hooks, caps and small replacement parts. Usually 5 to 40 grams of material.
Medium (figure, holder, housing)
Figurines, phone holders, organisers and enclosures. Expect 40 to 150 grams of material and a few hours of print time each.
Large (helmet, cosplay prop, vase)
Helmets, cosplay props, large vases and furniture parts. We often print these in sections and join them professionally, so always a custom quote.
Prices include VAT and exclude shipping. Quantities from 5 units often work out more favourably than the range suggests, thanks to the volume discount.

How is the final price determined?
The calculators give a fair estimate based on volume and weight. For the final price we run your model through our slicer, where factors count that no online calculator knows exactly in advance.
We slice your model
Your model goes through Bambu Studio, the slicer of our printers. There we determine the best orientation, the support material needed and the real print time, the three factors that can adjust the estimate.
Quote within 48 hours
You receive a complete quote by e-mail, including shipping costs and delivery time. Usually it differs by at most a few euros from the estimate, and you always see exactly why.
You decide
A request commits you to nothing. Only after you agree to the quote and pay securely via iDEAL do we start the printer. Not agreed? Then you simply decline the quote.
