Have a 3D model made for you
You do not have to be a 3D modeller to have something printed. Send a sketch, a photo with a tape measure next to it, or simply the dimensions that have to be right. We adapt an existing model, redraw a simple part and get the 3D model ready to print. Then we print it here in PETG.

What we design for you
Designing, in our case, means making sure there is a 3D model that is correct and that can actually be printed. There are a few routes, depending on what you already have.
Adapting an existing model
The model you found is almost right, but not quite. A hole needs to be bigger, a tab has to go, the mounting has to sit differently. We adapt it so that it does fit what you have in mind.
Redrawing a simple part
There is no model at all, only the broken part itself. Send a photo with a tape measure or ruler next to it and the dimensions that really have to be right, and we redraw the simple part. What that involves is explained under spare parts and single components.
A name, date or text worked in
A name plate for a door or a desk, a keychain or a figure with initials worked into it. Send us the text with your request, then we work it into the model and the quote tells you what you get.
Made to fit your dimensions
A holder that has to fit your device exactly, a stand for a shelf of a certain depth, a bracket that has to land between two screw holes. Give us the dimensions and we scale and adjust the model to match.
Getting it ready to print
A model can look fine on screen and still not print. We look at wall thickness, at the orientation on the print bed and at overhangs that need support. If your model is larger than 350 x 320 x 325 mm, we split it up and join the parts afterwards.
You only have an idea
No model, no sketch, just an idea in your head. Describe what you are looking for and what it is for. We then look for a suitable model or create one, and the quote tells you what it will be. Examples of what people have made are under inspiration.
What we need from you
The more concrete you are, the less back and forth. A photo often says more than half a page of text, and dimensions say more than a photo. Nothing has to look neat: a sketch on a scrap of paper is fine, as long as the dimensions are on it.
Everything goes through the request form. Choose "Just an idea" there and write down what it needs to become. You can add photos, and a file too if you do have one: STL, OBJ, 3MF, ZIP, up to 50 MB per file.
Useful to include
- A photo of the part, or of the spot where it has to fit, with a tape measure or ruler next to it
- The dimensions that really have to be right, and which ones those are. Often there are only one or two.
- What it is for: hanging something up, holding something in place, standing something on it, or purely decoration
- Whether it will be used indoors or outdoors, and whether it has to take any force
- A sketch, even a hand-drawn one, with the dimensions written on it
- A link to a model that comes close, if you have found one
How a design request works
You send in your idea
A description, a photo or a sketch, plus the dimensions that have to be right. You also choose colour, quantity and quality. Straight afterwards you get a personal tracking link.
We tell you what is possible
Because the model still has to be drawn, the quote is in your inbox within 3 to 5 working days. It states what we are going to make and what it costs. If something is unclear or not feasible the way you pictured it, we ask you first.
You decide
The quote stays valid for 14 days and commits you to nothing. If you agree, you pay with iDEAL and only then do we get to work.
We draw it and print it
We get the model ready to print and start the printer. After payment your print is ready within 2 to 4 working days. Pick-up in The Hague is free, delivery goes via PostNL.
Having a 3D model made
Having a 3D model made is not a separate service next to the design work: it is the same route. You send in a sketch, a photo or the dimensions, we draw the model and then print it in PETG. The four steps above apply unchanged, from the quote within 3 to 5 working days to paying with iDEAL, and what the printing costs is right below.
What a custom 3D design costs
The printing itself is charged per gram: € 0.19 per gram of PETG, with a minimum of € 8.00 per order, including 21 percent VAT. The full breakdown with example amounts is on what 3D printing costs.
Simple design work, such as a hook, a holder or a straightforward replacement part, is done for a fixed amount from € 29.00 including VAT, with one revision round included. Larger work is charged per hour: € 49.00 including VAT, always with an estimate of the hours in the quote, so you know where you stand before you decide.
What it comes to for your idea is set out in the quote. Scaling a model or moving a hole is simply not the same as redrawing a part from scratch.
You pay the design fee once. If you reorder the same model later, you only pay the printing price.
No printer starts until you have approved the quote and paid. If the quote is not what you hoped for, you simply let it expire. That costs nothing.
Designed and printed in the same place
The drawing work and the printing happen at the same studio in The Hague. That saves a step: whoever adapts your model also knows which machine it has to run on. If you are in the region, you pick up your print for free. How that works is on 3D printing in The Hague.

Frequently asked questions about 3D design
Do I need to be able to draw in 3D?
No. You do not need to know any CAD software and you do not need a file. A description with a photo or a sketch is enough to get started.
Can you redraw anything?
We adapt existing models and redraw simple parts. Whether your case fits that depends on the shape and on what exactly has to be right. Describe it in your request and we will tell you what is possible before anything is charged.
How accurate will it be?
As accurate as the dimensions you provide. So tell us which dimensions really have to be right, for example the distance between two holes or the inside width of a clamp. Measuring with callipers is the most useful.
Do I get the file as well?
What you get is your print. If you would also like the file itself, mention that in your request and we will let you know whether that is possible and what it means for the quote.
Can I have my idea checked for printability first?
Yes, and we do not charge for that. Send in your description or your file and ask for a check. You then hear what is possible before you decide anything.
May I sell the model you make?
If it is an adapted model that originally came from the internet, the licence of that model still applies; many licences allow personal use only. What that means is explained under where to find good models. If you want to sell prints, mention that with your request and we will work out together what is possible.
